September is National Hispanic Heritage Month.
On Saturday, Sept.19, three Y-Press members took in the sights and smells of Fiesta Indianapolis. Armed with cameras and recording devices, Shayan Ahmad, 15, Charlie Osborne, 13, and Priya Mirmira, 12, captured the celebration of many countries that comprise Latino culture. This year marked the 29th annual celebration and was held on American Legion Mall.
The audio slideshow features the art, music, dance and food, as well as interviews with a diverse group of young people and adults who shared their love and appreciation of their rich heritages.
